Who it's for

For clinics that want to know what is there, and where it went.

Dental Lager is built for private dental clinics in Sweden, from a single practice to a group with several sites.

The single clinic

One stockroom, a few behandlare (practitioners) and nobody with time to count shelves. The system shows the balance, says when something is running low, and gathers the ordering in one place. No clinic switcher, no features for groups. Just the clinic.

The group with several clinics

The same catalogue at every site, but its own balance and its own reorder levels per clinic. Access is controlled per user, so a clinic manager sees their site and an organisation administrator sees the whole.

The problems

What it actually solves

Nobody knows what is there
The balance updates at the withdrawal instead of at the next stock count. The dashboard shows the number of products, what is running low and what is urgent.
No traceability
Every withdrawal carries clinic, time, behandlare and which tablet or user performed it. The rows cannot be changed or removed afterwards.
Empty shelves and panic ordering
The reorder level per item means an item is flagged before it runs out, not once it already has.
Ordering scattered everywhere
The To Order list gathers everything below its level, with a link to the supplier where one has been given.
No picture of consumption
The statistics are built from withdrawals already recorded: per clinic, per material and per behandlare, with guardrails against drawing conclusions from too small a sample.

The roles

What each of them gets out of it

Owner and managing director

Consumption and stock value per clinic, a basis for purchasing, and a history you can go back to.

Clinic manager

Reorder levels, the catalogue, behandlare and tablets. Sees what needs ordering without walking into the stockroom.

Dental nurse and staff

Scan at the shelf and move on. Receive deliveries at the computer. No password to remember at the stockroom.

Honestly

Where Dental Lager is a poor fit

Better now than after a rollout. The following does not exist in the system today:

  • You need integration with a patient record system or an accounting system.
  • You want orders sent to the supplier automatically. The system shows what needs ordering and links there. You place the order yourselves.
  • You want to scan with a phone camera. Scanning uses a barcode reader over USB or Bluetooth.
  • You need email alerts when an item runs low. The watching happens inside the application today.
  • You want to work without a connection. The system requires internet.

Does that sound like your clinic?
