Dental Lager began as a system for a single clinic and a concrete problem: nobody knew what was in the stockroom, or who had used it.
That system was rebuilt from the ground up into a product several clinics can use at the same time, each with their own data separated from everyone else's. A number of decisions were taken along the way that would have been easy to make the other way round, and we stand behind them:
A withdrawal must carry a behandlare (practitioner). That is the whole point of the system, which is why it is a constraint in the database rather than a friendly reminder in the interface. A withdrawal without a behandlare cannot be saved.
The tablet identifies the clinic, not the person. That is a deliberate choice. Somebody standing at the shelf with a box in one hand should not have to log in. The consequence is just as deliberate: the system knows which clinic, which tablet and which behandlare, not who was standing there.
The history cannot be rewritten. Withdrawals and the log are rows that are added. The application has no function for removing them. Products and suppliers are archived rather than deleted, so that old withdrawals can still be understood.
Statistics about employees are handled carefully. Consumption per behandlare is valuable and sensitive at the same time. The figures are never ranked, are compared against the median for colleagues, and are not flagged at all when the sample is too small. The whole feature can be switched off.

What we do not do
A supplier should be able to say what it does not do. The following is not in the system today:
- No integrations with patient record systems, accounting systems or suppliers' ordering systems.
- No automatic email dispatch. Low-stock watching happens inside the application.
- No mobile app. The system runs in the browser, including on the tablet.
- No offline mode.
- No self-registration. We set you up, and take a walkthrough first.
And no figures we cannot show. You will find no customer logos, no testimonials and no percentages about savings on this site. We built the system; we have not measured your clinic.
